Over the years, Rishikesh Natural Fibre Handicrafts Producer Company Ltd. has successfully empowered 243 artisans, primarily underprivileged women, by creating sustainable income opportunities through natural fibre-based handicrafts. We have established a strong grassroots production network, promoted eco-friendly products across regional and national platforms, and contributed to preserving traditional skills of Uttarakhand. Our efforts have not only improved livelihoods but also supported environmental conservation through the use of locally sourced, biodegradable materials.

Our #Objective

The objective of the company is to carry on Business of Production, processing, promotion, designing, marketing of handicrafts, handloom and other Cottage Industries Items including support and allied activities and job works related with aforesaid works and organize marketing events, display exhibition, trade fairs in India or abroad for overall development of handicrafts produced in the cluster and socio-economic development of the craft person associated with the cluster and to render technical services, consultancy services, research and development, financial assistance and other activities for the promotion of the interests of the members, development and expansion of allied activities as may be conducive for the promotion of the handicrafts cluster.

  • The objective will be held for the benefit of the cluster artisans in order to understand the concept of producer company it functioning and role responsibility of the member of the producer company.

2 Days Director's Meet, Workshop Seminar

A two-day seminar and Directors' Meet is being organized to deliberate on critical issues faced by artisans in the handicrafts sector and to facilitate dialogue with subject matter experts across key domains. The seminar will also focus on awareness creation regarding various government schemes of O/O DC (Handicrafts) GI Registration, E-Commerce, GeM Portal, GSt etc“. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between artisans and institutional support mechanisms, creating pathways for long-term sustainability and growth.

25 day training program for making products made from Bhimal (Shailu)

Today, on 22-11-2021, a 25-day training program for making products made from Bhimal (Shailu) was inaugurated by Rishikesh Natural Fiber Handicrafts Producer Company, courtesy of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at Gumaniwala Shyampur Haridwar- Rishikesh By Pass Road. During the workshop, women will receive hands-on training in skills such as making Bheemal braids, design development, stitching, and weaving. This initiative marks a significant step towards empowering women and fostering self-reliance.

10 Days Handicrafts Exhibition.

Location :- Bharat Sadhu Samaj Ground, Swargashram, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand Inauguration Ceremony 05:30 PM (17 November 2021). This event has set a new benchmark in promoting sustainable livelihoods through handicrafts and will be remembered as a milestone initiative under the National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP).. The Handicrafts Exhibition 2025 not only strengthened the regional economy but also served as a powerful reminder of the rich artistic heritage of Uttarakhand. 10 Days Handicrafts Exhibition.

With the support of the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, a grand 10-day event “Handicraft Exhibition 2025” was organized from 18th January 2025 to 27th January 2025 at Asaram Bapu Ashram Ground, Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Dehradun, not only one of India’s prominent tourist destinations but also the capital of Uttarakhand, proved to be an ideal location for this cultural event. 25 Days Design And Technical Development Workshop

Two-day Handmade Product Design Workshop

Two-day Handmade Product Design Workshop, organized under the joint aegis of Bhartiya Gramotthan Sanstha, Dhalwala and the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, local artisans learned new design techniques. The workshop was jointly inaugurated by Mr. Ravidass, Deputy General Manager of NABARD, and Mrs. Geeta Chandola, President of the organization. On this occasion, participating artisans were trained to enhance the appeal of products made from Bhimlal (Bamboo), Kandali (Himalayan Nettle), and Jute.
